Research built around the project, not just the company name

Home Improvement Reviews Hub is an editorial research site for people comparing home improvement, design, fabrication and specialty-service providers. We focus on the details that determine whether a company is actually a fit for a specific project.

What we cover

Our coverage includes installed home services such as cabinet refinishing, refacing, custom closets and vanities, along with made-to-order products and specialty fabrication such as replacement cabinet doors, HDU signs, dimensional signs and laser-cut components. These categories require different comparison criteria, so we do not evaluate every business with one generic checklist.

Field-service workWe look closely at service area, measurement responsibility, jobsite process, installation, cleanup and warranty boundaries.
Manufactured productsWe look at material capability, specifications, production process, lead-time clarity, shipping and responsibility for final installation.

What our scores mean

The Hub Index is an editorial score used to organize our research. It is not a customer star rating and it is not presented as a substitute for a current estimate. A company can score well because it is unusually strong for a narrow project type even if a larger competitor offers more services overall.

How a company gets reviewed

We examine public company information, service pages, published project details, policies, available directories and other sources that help us understand the offering. We then compare the company against the needs of the category. Our deeper profiles explain the reasons behind the score so a reader can decide whether the same strengths matter for their project.

What we do not do

We do not treat a high review count as proof that a company is the best fit for every job. We do not turn an editorial score into a fake customer rating. We do not assume that a company handles installation, permits, measurement or adjacent trades unless the available scope says so.

How to use this site

  1. Start with a project guide to understand the decisions that change scope and price.
  2. Use a shortlist to identify providers worth researching.
  3. Read the deeper company profiles for strengths, limitations and service-model details.
  4. Request current written proposals from the providers that match your exact project.
  5. Compare inclusions, exclusions, responsibility and timing—not just the bottom-line total.

Corrections and updates

Company offerings change. If a service, location, warranty, lead time or other material fact is outdated, readers and businesses can send a correction through our business suggestion page. Our editorial policy explains how updates and corrections are handled.
