Reader input

Share a firsthand project experience

Reader experiences can point us toward questions worth researching, recurring service issues and companies that deserve a closer look. They do not automatically become published testimonials or change a company’s score.

What is most useful

What happens with submissions

We may use reader input as a research lead, compare it with public information or contact a company for clarification when appropriate. We do not promise that every submission will be published or quoted.

Keep sensitive information out

Do not send payment card data, account passwords, private access codes or other sensitive personal information. If documentation contains information unrelated to the project, remove or redact it before submitting.

Editorial scores remain separate

A single positive or negative experience is not converted directly into the Hub Index. Our scores are category-specific editorial assessments explained in the methodology.

Describe the scope, not just the outcome

“Great job” or “bad experience” tells us very little about what happened. A more useful submission explains what was purchased, what the provider agreed to do, whether measurements or materials changed, how communication worked and whether the completed result matched the written agreement.

If your experience involved a dispute, focus on verifiable project facts rather than personal accusations. Dates, scope changes, written commitments and the final resolution are far more useful for research than speculation about motives.
