What makes these guides different
Each guide is built around decisions that can materially change the finished project: measurements, preparation, material, finish, quantity, installation and responsibility for adjacent work. When a category includes both local installers and manufacturers that ship, we call out that difference because it changes what a quote should include. The strongest provider is the one that fits the work you actually need—not necessarily the company with the longest service list.
